A Successful Recruitment!

After an amazing and hectic two weeks, Alpha Sigma has made it through another successful recruitment! Thank you to Mattie Shields and the entire recruitment committee for putting on two weeks of great events! Let’s do a recap!

Week One:

Info Day & Night: A massive crowd! It was such a great surprise to see so many people at just the first two events who were engaged and interested! Our lovely chairs and officers talked about themselves as well as their positions and some highlights from their time in the organization (no matter how short or long).

Letters Lunch: Sometimes, you just gotta seize the Student Commons. Brothers showed up in their hard letters and put together a never-ending line of tables so we could get to know our awesome PNMs who showed up! Like a flash mob, but with food instead.

Trivia Night: A fun-filled, competitive night of team-based trivia games! It was a great turn out and everyone was super engaged with the games and each other!

Week Two:

Fellowship Night: A chill, laid-back night of getting to know each other and team-building games including Trainwreck, Froggy Murder, Down by the Bank and more! Thank you to Olivia Klele for helping to run the event in Mattie’s absence!

Mocktails: Roll out the red carpet and make sure to bring some water! Everyone came looks all kinds of dapper and lovely for my personal favorite event, Mocktails! It was wonderful getting to know all the PNMs and I always love an excuse to get dressed up!

Kickball: Sportball!!!! After some group stretching, bros and PNMs broke off into teams and played some exciting rounds of kickball! Lindsay Jordan took one for the team and was unfortunately injured, but she played a great game and was definitely MVP! And of course, we couldn’t have had such great games without our awesome cheerleaders!

Alpha Rho!

Y’all heard of Alpha Rho, now get ready for Alpha Rad! That’s right, on Feb. 11th, we pinned eighteen brand new initiates for the Alpha Rho class! Congratulations to all of you and to Initiate Advisor, Olivia Klele, on getting such a diverse, unique group of initiates. Good luck to all of you during the next seven weeks!

Mattie has put blood, sweat, tears and every last drop of her energy into this recruitment and on behalf of the Alpha Sigma chapter, we couldn’t be more proud of this amazing recruitment she put on for us. Despite any issues that might’ve arose prior to an event or if she knew she couldn’t make an event, Mattie was a quick thinker and always had a solution! Mattie, you’re an amazing Recruitment Advisor and we’ve all had a blast over these last two weeks!
